I provide speech and language therapy training to schools and nurseries and therpay packages specifically catered for your setting and the child’s individual needs which include:

• Formal and informal assessments carried out at the nursery/school.
• Regular speech and language therapy sessions at the nursery/school.
• Consultation for education staff about environmental modifications for children experiencing language difficulties or those on the autistim spectrum.
• Written programmes for educational staff, detailing strategies, specific activities, individulised goals to facilitate children’s communication development.

• Adult-child-interaction video therapy training for educational staff on language strategies to use with communication impaired children.

I offer formal training sessions for educational staff which can be specifically tailored to the needs of your setting. A few of the topics include:

• Identification of children experiencing issues in three key areas of communication and strategies to help develop their skills. The focus is on:

         - Attention and listening differences.
         - Receptive language difficulties.
         - Difficulties with all aspects of expressive language.
 

• Environmental modifications to support the development of children with communication difficulties.
• Understanding communication to set up support systems for children with autism.
• Supporting children with autistim spectrum disorder in a mainstream setting through environmental modifications and useful strategies.
• Supporting children’s social interaction skills and social use of language through specifically designed group work.
• Using principles of adult-child interaction to develop the skills of children experiencing communication difficulties in the school setting.

Fee: To be discussed on a case by case basis depending on the complexity of the topics and length of training.
